Enjoy a quiet night in St Joseph at this charming COMPLETELY SMOKE FREE turn of the century farm house.  Relax with a steaming cup of lemon grass tea while rocking your cares away on the front porch or take in the wonderful views of north Missouri's rolling hills as you feed treats to our brood mares grazing in the lush, green pastures. 

COUPLES may choose from TWO spacious bedrooms: THE LAVENDER ROOM or THE BLUE ROOM.    SINGLE travelers will enjoy the cozy MONTANA ROOM and COUPLES & FAMILIES TRAVELING TOGETHER can reserve the entire attic suite - We welcome well behaved children 10 and over.

RATES are based on TWO PERSON occupancy per room per night and includes freshly baked sweets, complimentary beverages and a bountiful "high" country continental breakfast Sunday-Fridays with fresh fruit, cereal,  jumbo muffins or biscuits,  locally packaged fruit perserves, milk, juice, coffee and an endless array of Tea's.  Country style breakfast is served on Saturday mornings with scrambled eggs, bacon, country biscuits and gravy, grits, Juice, coffee and/or tea.

HORSES AND MOST SMALL DOGS WELCOME!

We gladly accept our equine guests at a rate of 15.00 per night provided negative coggins and proof of West Nile is presented.  We accept well behaved dogs under 20 pounds.

AMENITIES include hair dryers, emergency toiletries, electric blankets, extra comforters, homemade afghans, extra pillows,satellite TV, extra towels, additional heaters/fans, alarm clocks, in-room music and freshly laundered sheets every morning. The home also offers lots of room to wander with a formal dining room, large gathering room, sunny breakfast room, reading room, computer room and elegant  sitting parlour.

Musicians will enjoy the electric piano in the parlour and all music lovers will love sifting through our collection of old 45's while listening to the great hits of the 50's, 60's and 70's on our vintage looking record player.

Enjoy early morning coffee basking in the warm sunshine of one of our wonderful Missouri sunrises as you take in the charming views from our newly remodeled breakfast room and while here, see if you can spot one of our red headed woodpeckers lodged in the old walnut tree outside the window!




Our guest rooms are all located upstairs.  We have re-designed our stairway  to make it inviting and easy to navigate as you travel upstairs to your private room.  With solid rails, hand lathed detail and plush carpet, these steps are easy on the hips, feet and knees!! 





Our downstairs powder room reflects the Early American charm that the entire house is built upon.  With the solid, hand painted columns and marbelized european tile, you'll enjoy the home's simple elegance.

LAVENDER ROOM     78.00

Step back into a simpler time in this wonderfully decorated bedroom that welcomes you with lavender flowered walls and beautifully crafted crown molding.  This room has both FULL size and TWIN size beds with Labeeda pillowtop mattresses and soft 400 thread count sheets.  You will also find lots of eyelet, lace and turn of the century charm. Nestle up under a thick down comforter in the reading corner, stretch out for a nap under the ceiling fan catch a stunning sunset as you gaze into Missouri's western skies.

THE MONTANA ROOM        55.00

Comfy and cozy best describes this single room which also doubles as our reading room.  Anchored on one side by a cute, handmade 4 poster twin sized bed, this room contains all sorts of family memories of days gone by--memories made and cherished from "Big sky" country.  The sage comforter and huge throw pillows make this an excellant room for napping, reading or visiting.  You will enjoy the Labeeda Ultimate II single mattress and 400 count thread sheets as well as the 3 speed ceiling fan that hums quietly as you take in a great western novel while slowly swaying in the solid wood rocking chair.  Dainty sage and rose curtains drape the original bridged pane windows that overlook the horse pastures to the north and early American furniture completes this inviting room filled with western lore and cowboy treasures. 

THE BLUE ROOM        78.00

Almost a mirror image to the Lavender Room, the Blue Room faces the East so you are promised lots of bright morning sunshine during the spring and summer.  You will love the Ultimate Wonder Sleep Labeeda mattress and the plush 400 thread count sheets that we place on this full size bed as well as the victorian lace throw pillows and cute unicorns. This room is also adorned with a beautiful birdseye maple chest and solid marble coffee table plus a soft, comfortable lazy boy for a little evening reading.  The room also boasts a rustic wood ceiling and lots of thick, crown molding plus a private closet and lots of extra blankets and handmade afghans to keep you toasty warm on those chilly winter nights.
ROOM RATES/CANCELLATION POLICY

Room rates based on 2 person occupancy for the Lavender room and Blue room.  The rate for the Montana room  is based on single person occupancy per night. VISA, MASTER CARD, PERSONAL CHECKS AND CASH ACCEPTED.  CHECK IN IS 4 PM  DAILY AND CHECK OUT IS 10 AM

CANCELLATION: 3days in advance.  We will gladly reserve your room by credit card HOWEVER, your rate is fully earned and NON-REFUNDABLE if cancelled for any reason any later than 3 days before your sheduled arrival.

                                          
                                           
SNUGGLE UP BY THE BONFIRE 

On Friday and Saturday evenings, weather permitting, you will enjoy a cozy bonfire complete with hot chocolate and marshmallow roasting.  You will also enjoy the Cowboy Poetry and Jesse James tales as told by some of our more colorful local residents plus campfire songs led by little, laughing Linda, our lightheated little lyricist!


             GREAT SHOPPING & FOOD


Drive just a mile and a half into St Joe to find for wonderful shopping and popular eateries.  Travelers of all ages will find lots to do at the new  North Shoppes! You will find Bed, Bath and Beyond, The Dress Barn, TJ Max, Target, Borders, Pier One, Michaels and all kinds of indoor and outdoor cafe's.  Just down the street, visit the Jesse James Antique Mall or the Great Frontier Crafts gallery.  You will also find a Walmart and Walgreens close by as well as restaraunts like Bob Evans, Famous Daves, Chili's, Ryans Steak house, Mcdonalds, Culvers, Hardee's, KFC and Cheddars.
TAKE IN SOME FRONTIER HISTORY


Remember, you ARE in Frontier country. While here, be sure to visit St Joseph and take in the Patee Museum (where Jesse James was killed) as well as the Pony Express Museum.  A short drive away, you'll find the original Jesse James home and around every turn you can browse through interesting antique stores and dance the night away at the local Opry houses.  Tour the St Joseph Parkway and view some of Missouri's oldest plantation homes or take a walk along the Missouri River at the new Riverfront Park.  You may also enjoy a night out at the Riverboat Casino or if you like, you can take in a play or listen to our award nominated symphony.
