The Albee Farm Bed and Breakfast in St Joseph Missouri is a charming turn of the century farm house.  Relax with a steaming cup of lemon grass tea while rocking your cares away on the front porch or take in the wonderful views of north Missouri's rolling hills as you gaze at our brood mares grazing in the green pastures. SMOKING RESTRICTED TO BACK PATIO ONLY PLEASE.


COUPLES may choose THE LAVENDER ROOM or THE BLUE ROOM.  SINGLE travelers will enjoy the cozy MONTANA ROOM.  Rates are per room per night and include freshly baked sweets, complimentary beverages and a bountiful "high" country continental breakfast Sunday-Fridays with fresh fruit, cereal,  jumbo muffins or biscuits, locally packaged fruit perserves, juice, coffee and an endless array of Tea's.  Country style breakfast is served on Saturdays with scrambled eggs, sausage biscuits, Juice, coffee and/or tea.

HORSES
We can accomodate an overnight stay for your horse and offer shelter, pasture and water.  WE ARE NOT A CAMPGROUND AND CANNOT ACCOMODATE MOTOR HOMES OR TRAILERS OVER 27 FEET.
 
GUEST AMENITIES
We provide hair dryers, emergency toiletries, electric blankets, extra comforters, towels and pillows plus heaters/fans, alarm clocks and in-room music. The home also offers lots of room to wander with a formal dining room, large gathering room, sunny breakfast room, reading room, computer room and elegant  sitting parlour.

THE LAVENDER ROOM       95.00


Step back into a simpler time in our Lavender room.   Complete with ensuite full bath, this room faces the lovely Missouri hills to the West.   You  will find two full size beds with  Labeeda Ultima II mattresses.  Both beds feature luxurious 700 count sheets and the newly remodeled bath is the cutest one you've ever seen!  The Lavender room boasts  lots of  Southern Charm and pleasant views  so you may want to stretch out under the ceiling fan or wrap up with a cozy book in the reading corner.  



You also have a TV/VCR, alarm clock, cd player and radio plus extra fluffy afghans and blankets.   Beautifully decorated with period furniture, lace and eyelet--this is our most popular room!  Perfect for couples or friends traveling together.

THE  MONTANA ROOM                         69.00


Comfy and cozy best describes this single room which also doubles as our reading room.  Anchored  by a cute, handmade 4 poster twin sized bed, this room contains all sorts of family memories of days gone by--memories made and cherished from "Big sky" country.  The sage comforter and huge throw pillows make this an excellant room for napping, reading or visiting.  You will enjoy the Labeeda Ultimate II single mattress and 400 count thread sheets as well as the 3 speed ceiling fan that hums quietly as you take in a great western novel or gaze  over the horse pastures to the north. 



THE BLUE ROOM         79.00

The Blue Room is a mirror image to the Lavender room.  Whereas the Lavender room faces the west, the Blue room faces east so you are guaranteed lots of early morning sunshine.  This room is comfy and spacious with a full size bed complete with the Labeeda Ultimate II mattress and soft 400 count sheets.  There is a nice Lazy boy for reading and of course a TV/VCR plus a radio and alarm clock.  You will find a quiet night and lots of  Southern Charm in this room and if you look closely you may see Elvis!



The Blue Room has a private bath right across the hall. 

ROOM RATES/CANCELLATION POLICY

Room rates based on 2 person occupancy for the Lavender room and Blue room.  The rate for the Montana room  is based on single person occupancy per night. VISA, MASTER CARD, PERSONAL CHECKS AND CASH ACCEPTED.  CHECK IN IS 4 PM  DAILY AND CHECK OUT IS 10 AM

SNUGGLE UP BY THE BONFIRE 

On Friday and Saturday evenings, weather permitting, you will enjoy a cozy bonfire complete with hot chocolate and marshmallow roasting.  You will also enjoy the Cowboy Poetry and Jesse James tales as told by some of our more colorful local residents plus campfire songs led by little, laughing Linda, our lightheated little lyricist!


             GREAT SHOPPING & FOOD


Drive just a mile and a half into St Joe to find for wonderful shopping and popular eateries.  Travelers of all ages will find lots to do at the new  North Shoppes! You will find Bed, Bath and Beyond, The Dress Barn, TJ Max, Target, Borders, Pier One, Michaels and all kinds of indoor and outdoor cafe's.  Just down the street, visit the Jesse James Antique Mall or the Great Frontier Crafts gallery.  You will also find a Walmart and Walgreens close by as well as restaraunts like Bob Evans, Famous Daves, Chili's, Ryans Steak house, Mcdonalds, Culvers, Hardee's, KFC and Cheddars.

TAKE IN SOME FRONTIER HISTORY


Remember, you ARE in Frontier country. While here, be sure to visit St Joseph and take in the Patee Museum (where Jesse James was killed) as well as the Pony Express Museum.  A short drive away, you'll find the original Jesse James home and around every turn you can browse through interesting antique stores and dance the night away at the local Opry houses.  Tour the St Joseph Parkway and view some of Missouri's oldest plantation homes or take a walk along the Missouri River at the new Riverfront Park.  You may also enjoy a night out at the Riverboat Casino or if you like, you can take in a play or listen to our award nominated symphony.
